Divert Hexes
Not a QQ or even a nerf request, just a comment on something I always thought odd.
This skill is only found from one boss in Nightfall. Amiresh the Pious is located in the Alkali Pan, but you can only reach him with the use of Wurms. Even worse, the area the boss is in can't be exited, you are forced to fight him in the Wurms. This makes it much easier, as your damage is better, and your survival is easier. However, this brings up what I always wondered about. Did Anet once consider what the skill does when they set the boss where they did?
Divert Hexes is a powerful hex removal elite, yet there is no possible way to hex this boss or his group while in the Wurms. Why not provide that boss with an elite that would see some action? Word of Healing, Scribe's Insight, Light of Deliverance, etc. all could be used well by a boss not dealing with hexes. Even Signet of Removal would work, as you at least have options to supply conditions while in Wurms.
Are there other bosses I overlooked that have similar issues? I'm not aware of any, but I didn't do a study of them. I just liked using Divert Hexes, and wondered why a powerful skill like this doesn't ever get used by the boss who has it. I'm not even aware of any monsters other than the boss that uses this elite. The undead Monks use Signet of Judgement, the Margonites use Spell Breaker, Word of Madness uses Defenders Zeal, and all other monsters use other elites as well. So why does Divert get tossed aside, and never used by monsters?
Just thought this would be an interesting discussion

Curious. Very curious. I can't even think of a reason that this happened aside from simple over site from Anet. I'm more concerned with the lore side of things. Undead monks should be doing holy damage. Stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure there are some warrior bosses with hammer knockdown skills that don't wield a hammer.

I dunno about hammer KD's, but here's a guy who has Executioner's Strike and Galrath Slash.
I can't think of any other elites off the top of my head that there's never a chance for the boss to use. Very odd indeed. As for the question of what else uses it, I know Divert Hexes is used by Lifeweavers in EotN.

Very curious posters. I rarely even care what skills the monsters are using, when their efforts are like struggling against tide of damage.

Did you read the OP? She's not bothered, she's curious about his skillset.

He has a point though.
Why should that sound weird if you are fighting monster in the first place in a game where you were supposed to fight other guilds?

Not for nothing, but I don't want to live in a world where worms start wielding weapons of any sort.
Is this just a case of them having some sort of a 'simulated' bow attack so barrage can up their damage? Or does their barrage simply not work at all?

You are not supposed to do only GvG as a Guild Wars player.
Guild Wars probably refers to the lore of the game, not to GvG itself.
So Guild Wars is clearly not all about GvG. People can specialize in whatever area they prefer or find more fun, be it in PvP or PvE.
Her question is not weird at all.

I'd say it's the other way around. Guild Wars was originally supposed to be a PvP-based game, and GvG was the main PvP. I'm assuming they created the lore around the name, not the name around the lore. Either way, the name of the game refers to both PvE (lore) and PvP (GvG).
Anyways, yeah, I'm assuming ANet just overlooked this. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's not really a big deal.
